A Place To Call Home WDC owns and maintains several homes and apartments throughout southern Nevada, providing modern, comfortable housing for low-income families and individuals. These apartments are a haven for low-income women with children where individual caseworkers provide support services on site, education programs cover topics such as employment, budgeting, and child care, with the overall goal of empowering these struggling families with the skills and resources they need to become truly self-sufficient. The Children’s Center provides fun and learning activities for the children while their mothers attend education programs. WDC opened Parkway Apartments. Located in a revitalization area, WDC completely renovated the complex, transforming it into an attractive, comfortable housing area. Parkway Apartments stands as a shining example of WDC’s commitment to the betterment of the community. Striving to meet the unique needs of seniors, WDC has constructed a 19 apartment unit on Lindell Rd. Each Apartment home is built for comfort and energy efficiency. A community room provides space for game tables, computer work stations, television and a common gathering area.
